Tom Pearce Trail Walk Monday, April 2, 1pm.
Need to walk off all those Easter calories? Please join me for a walk on the Tom Pearce Trail this Monday, at 1 p.m. The trail head is at the end of NE Spalding Ave. (off of Agnes). There's a small parking area. Dogs on a leash are OK. Main path is paved and mostly level, with lots of shade trees and beautiful scenery. Several park benches are located along the path. The trail ends at the Tom Pearce Park entrance and you have the option to continue on into the park or just head back to the parking lot. The trail, round trip, is about 1.5 miles.

Elk Mountain Highland Games April 28 - 29, Rogue River.
The Elk Mountain Highland Games and May Day Festival will be held April 28th & 29th in Rogue River. Hours are 9am - 9pm Saturday, and 9am to 5pm Sunday. Admission is $10 on Saturday and $5 on Sunday. Address is 8205 E. Evans Creek Rd, Rogue River, OR 97537 (8 miles from Rogue River,out near Wimer).
This looks like a really fun event. I plan on going on Sunday, when the admission fee is only $5. Carpooling may be possible, to be discussed at next brunch on April 20th. As far as I know, there are no senior or group discounts.

Senior Fair @ Medford Armory March 20th
Tuesday, Mar. 20 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Medford Armory, 1701 S Pacific Hwy .
Senior Fair will have more than 80 booths from healthcare and living facilities, social service agencies, professional services, local hospitals, art organizations and other critical resources. Entry is a suggested donation of $1 or 1 can of non-perishable food at the door.

Nifty 50+ Brunch & Genealogy Lecture

Waters Creek Interpretive Trail - March 12th
Monday, March 12th, is supposed to be a nice day to be outdoors! Let's walk the Waters Creek Interpretive Trail. This is a one-mile, graveled loop with informative signs and benches. For those wanting to do a longer hike, there is a connecting 2-mile loop.
Let's meet in the parking area at 11:30 am. Bring a sack lunch!

Lecture on Bats at Medford Library, March 7.
On Wed., March 7, 2018, the Medford Library is having a lecture on bats from 3:30 to 4:30.
John will talk about these flying mammals and their important role in the eco-system and present six different species of preserved bat specimens as well as a bat skeleton and bat echolocation sounds. Those in attendance will also get instructions on building a bat-house, Bat ID sheets, and bat coloring pages to take home. The program focuses on the positive side of bats and is designed for all ages.
